Stephen King – author of the literary work
Stephen King is one the most famous of living writers, and he is considered the master of modern horror and thriller writing. Over the forty years of his literary career he has issued over fifty books, of which 350 million copies have been sold worldwide. His work has become an inspiration for dozens of famous films (such as The Shining, The Shawshank Redemption, The Dead Zone). He has millions of fans world-wide.
Robin Kasparik - director, screenwriter and producer
He studied directing and screenwriting at the Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czech Republic. He gained filmmaking experience by participating in the shooting of the French thriller La Proie , directed by Eric Valette. In 2009, he made the horror film Séance, which has been awarded the accolade of best short movie at festivals in the US and South Africa. The film was screened at over twenty film festivals all over the world.
Marek Dvorak - director of photography
He studies cinematography at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in the Czech Republic where he cooperated on the successful student films People Involved and Jump!. He has shot video-clips for Dana Barta, Marek Ztraceny, Clou and Debbi and cooperated on an adaptation of a Karel Capek novel for Czech Television.
Jakub Krajicek – master of sound
A graduate of the Film School Zlín, Czech Republic. Currently he works with Czech Television. As the master of sound he was involved in a range of documentaries and short films. He is the founder of the U zajice Studio which is focused on quality sound post-production.
Michal Dvorak - editor
He studies editing at the Tomas Bata University in Zlín. He was involved in the prize-winning short films Séance, SETH and 3 Days. Currently he is working with the Budíkov Studio travel documentaries.
Petr Vanek – makeup artist
He studied the specialisation of Makeup at the art-craft apprentice training centre in Prague, Czech Republic. He has met significant makeup men Chris Tucker (The Elephant Man), Brian Wade (Terminator) and Cliff Wallace (Hellboy 2) . He has worked on independent and student films. He was given an award for the mask of a demon at the FXCon International Festival.
Hana Frankova – makeup artist
She studied the Academy of Arts and Design in Prague and while still studying she started cooperating on the student films Marta and Prague, My Love. She also took worked on the films Blade 2, Van Helsing and Hart’s War. She also does make up for commercials, video-clips and TV series.
Michaela Berankova – costume designer
She studies dress design at the Tomas Bata University in Zlín. In her work she tries to experiment and to reach the boundaries of fashion. She finds inspiration in the history of Australian native mythology. She combines couture with film. She created the costumes for student films Séance and Prague, My Love.
Lukas Hecl - production manager
He studied at the Zlin Film School, as assistant of production and subsequently as production director he was involved in alumni films. He took part in a range of internships in film and television productions where he gained valuable experience. He cooperated on the Academia Film Olomouc Festival and acted as a member of the Alternative.NOW creative group which was focused on the production of short films on extreme sports.
Pavel Novy – co-producer
This well-known Czech actor has created scores of film roles during his career. He cooperated with the famous director Jan Svankmajer on his surrealistic films Conspirators of Pleasure, Little Otik and Lunacy, and – of course – appeared in Séance.
Martin Illek – co-producer
He works as a translator and interpreter of Portuguese and Spanish, within his Encanto agency providing translation and interpretation services for other world languages. He took part in the shooting of prize-winning films Colours of winter, Conspiracy and Seems like a Touch of a Death Foretold..
Stephen Weeks – consultant
Seasoned director-producer-writer whose vintage films include Ghost Story, I Monster and Sword of the Valiant, and whose recent novels include Daniela, The Countess of Prague and Sins of the Father is acting as general consultant to the production – script editing, and advice on setting-up the production.
